yields about 19 waffles.
4 1/2 carbs each.
1/2 c. whole wheat pastry flour
1/2 c. ground flax seed
1/2 c. soy FLOUR
1/2 c. Vital wheat gluten (it is 80% protein)
1/2 c. wheat BRAN
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 c. full fat sour cream
1/2 c. 'granulated' sucralose(splenda) or stevia
2 tsp. vanilla or other flavors
1c. cream
1 1/2 c. water
4 eggs
1/2 c. softened butter
Heat waffle iron(s)
Mix dry ingredients. Add wet ingredients. Mix together.
Dab about 1/4 c. of batter around on waffle iron and cook about 5 min til it mostly stops steaming.
This is great with real whipped cream, strawberries and cinnamon on top!
Very low carb and high fiber.
*You can replace cream & water with the same amount of Hood brand milk replacement that is at walmart. It is only 3 carbs per cup and tastes fine.
*You can save some $ by buying whole flax seeds and grinding them yourself in a blender or basic coffee grinder.
